Our Grapes Harvested

February 20, 2013

The vine has been feeding us grapes now for a good couple of months. While not all the grapes mature at the same rate, requiring us to pick them individually, the benefit is that the feasting of this fruit can be spread out across many weeks instead of gorging on all of it in one go.

I absolutely love the flavour of the flesh inside the skin. You can suck out the juicy interior with your tongue and let those taste buds experience a grape flavour unheard of in the outside markets. Those who had the privilege of laying their hands on some of these taste sensations come away describing the flavours as an infusion of passionfruit and sweet wine.

I am very happy of the end result and expect the repeat harvest next season.
