Carrots and Grapes

November 30, 2012

After brother-in-laws wedding in Brisbane and gallivanting up/down the east coast of Australia for the last week, we have returned back to our welcoming little home. I went to check on the garden to see how everything is. The grass shot-up like a  teenager over a school break, and the chicks I was monitoring left the nest.

We had carrots growing that were advertised to be of varying colours i.e. purple, white, red etc.  I decided to pull them out as they didn’t look like they would get any larger. Felt kind of disappointed at the lackluster size and the average pallet of colours. The mutant arms on some of the carrots don’t help either. Here’s a picture of the bunch.

Finally the grapes are forming well. They should start to turn the deep purple as expected.
