Charmaine with Child

October 7, 2012

Just over three month to go, with time flowing with ever increasing intensity. I have heard several times now from people that “life will not be the same again” after the inevitable birth. Perhaps so, but with little experience to compare the forewarned ‘change’, the foreboding responsibility misses the stress organs and falls by the waste-side.  Without the gravity of the situation taking hold of my floating self the ‘change’ that has so far been uttered into my ears joins the other life’s changes, a new TV set, a haircut or the change in our electricity supplier.

Maybe the first loud shriek and cry will clear the fog and awaken me, but for now the carefree fantasy is too inviting, let me wallow in it for just a bit more.
