Garden Experiment Update

January 9, 2012

An update is due on the tomatoes we have planted a few months back. We are getting almost a daily serving of fresh tomatoes. The ‘Russian Black’ tomatoes are the bomb, the deep red textured meaty fruit the bush produced doesn’t compare to their supermarket cousins. The ‘Roma’ tomatoes haven’t disappointed either, small yet plentiful, but most importantly tasty.

Also an update on the grape vine, it has really taken off since Autumn. The hard part now is steering it into the right directions. I envision it to grow around the pergola, delivering grapes all around as easy pickings.

See the Original Garden Experiment post when the tomatoes were just purchased.

I can’t wait until I have a backyard and am able to experiment as you do. I’m loving that curvature on the grape vine.

    Excellent blog, tons of fun.

Thank you. Backyards are great, but cutting grass in summer can get on my nerves, it grows quicker than Jack’s beans.
